About Mike

I began my journey as a photographer in the 1970s,

Over the years, I’ve worked across various areas of the art and photography industries, refining my craft and developing a distinct visual style.

Now retired and based near Auchterarder, I spend much of my time exploring the landscapes around Stirling. My process is patient and deliberate: once I discover a promising scene, I return to it throughout the year—at different times of day and in changing conditions—to capture the light at its most evocative.

Each year, I add just one or two carefully selected images to my print collection. These works are available exclusively here and are not offered in any other form or through any other outlet.

I use a telephoto lens to weave together the near and the far, drawing distant elements into quiet conversation with the close. Aside from subtle adjustments to light, shadow and colour, images are digitally untouched — an honest reflection of that moment, exactly as it unfolded.
